As the release date for Bethesda's Dishonored creeps ever closer, we're learning more and more things about it. In this newest dev diary, we get a behind-the-scenes look at what is going through the developers collective heads as they designed the game.
There's an obvious focus on a bit of an open world approach to carrying out your assassinations in Dishonored. You can kill everyone and everything in sight on any given mission, or you can kill no one if you're feeling charitable. You can also possess a fish to sneak into areas surrounded by water. All right.
Getting into the design of the game, we see that the devs combed the world looking for things that fit in Dishonored's steampunk style. They also focused on studying "Anglo-Saxon morphology" to make sure that all the characters looked like they'd fit into an archetypal steampunk setting. Interesting.
Anyhoo, check it out below and let us know if you're looking forward to Dishonored when it comes out October 9th.
