Although the console version of Battlefield 3 will have a much lower framerate and resolution than its PC counter part, it "doesn't look worse than any other game out there" says DICE.

Speaking in an interview published today by Videogamer, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach said that what they have been showing so far are the PC version of the game. So what about the console owners? How will the two versions differ?
"What we're showing on PC might look better than on console," said Bach, "but what we'll show on console doesn't look worse than any other game out there. It's probably even better than every other game out there on console. Most people will be very positive because they might be afraid that it won't look as good as other games and it will, and some people will of course be disappointed that it doesn't look like the PC version."
So what will the console version lack? Well according to Bach: "The higher resolution, the higher framerate, the anti-aliasing, the motion blur, stuff like that. We can't have it to the same quality on the console. The problem if you're setting a new bar is you're pushing yourself up," he continued. "Of course there's a challenge by showing something that looks amazing on PC and then something that just looks great on console. I think the challenge is to beat ourselves. Of course, it's hard to do that because of the practical limitations of the consoles."
Battlefield 3 is slated for release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in November.

>Implying they actually took the time to develop it properly on the ps3, and isn't just a half-assed port, that doesnt do it justice, like most multiplatform ps3 games.
