Devil May Cry is on the cusp of a very important launch. The latest game in the franchise makes some big changes—and fans have had strongly mixed reactions to what they’ve seen so far. Luckily, the waiting is nearly over, as a demo is set for launch on PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 20.

In other words, as of next week we’ll officially know whether Capcom has actually destroyed one of its most beloved series, or if fans were just making a bunch of fuss over nothing (hint: it’s probably a combination of the two). The demo includes more than one difficulty, a few weapon upgrades and “a couple of secrets,” along with one mission and one boss battle. Make of that what you will.

Oh, and Europe folks will need to wait until 11/21 for the PS3 release.
