Darkspore coming to consoles?

Could a console version of Darkspore be on its way? According to super insider sleuth, Superannuation, a Naked Sky Entertainment level designer purports to it.

The designer's resume apparently claims that he has "worked with Maxis to modify Darkspore for release on Xbox/PS3." Of course, we're going to have to tag this as a rumor for now - a very juicy one at that - since Electronic Arts has not made any official announcements regarding it.

They have, however, recently made an indication in an interview with GameRant that something like this could be happening. In that interview, Maxis executive producer Mike Perry let it slip that the game could very well be brought over to the consoles. The only thing that would push them to do it would be, of course, the community demand for it.

Considering its success on the PC/Mac platforms, it shouldn't come as a surprise if they've already been silently working on it. Maybe a reveal will be happening on E3? It just seems like the perfect place for surprises. We'll keep you posted.
