Overkill Entertainment, developer of Payday: The Heist, posted something on their website saying that they will be collaborating with Valve on something that will blend their game with Left 4 Dead...somehow.

"As perceptive gamers will have noticed, several hints have recently been dropped into Payday The Heist, which has led to various rumors," Ulf Andersson, Studio Game Director, says. "We are working on a very cool blend of PAYDAY and Left 4 Dead. I am sure it is so exciting that it will have some players check into the hospital before we are done."

Payday has already received comparisons to Left 4 Dead, what with it being a 4-player co-op FPS and all, but it obviously fell short of Left 4 Dead quality. On the other hand, seeing it somehow blended with Left 4 Dead sure does sound intriguing. While Payday is a PC and PSN-only title, you'd imagine this "blend" may make its way to the Xbox 360.
