Here’s some more tough news from the industry: Codemasters, the racing studio known for games like GRID and F1, has just announced a series of layoff as a part of its overall restructuring plan. This comes just under a year after the news that the studio would be canceling development on all non-racing games and focusing on its biggest properties to stay solvent.

While the company did not give an estimate as to how many employees will end up on the chopping block, Eurogamer is reporting that around 80 people will be impacted by the decision. We haven’t seen much from Codemasters for the last few years, but the studio did note that these layoffs do not affect the F1 series or development of GRID 2. We’ll just have to see how the whole thing goes down.
