Yes folks, this time, it's for real.

Earlier this month, Sony announced that they are bringing two Square Enix favorites, Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger, to the North American PlayStation Store as part of PSone Classics. But when the PlayStation Store was updated last week, both titles are conspicuously missing. The reason? Well according to Sony, it was an error on their part as they've "incorrectly identified the release of two PSone Classics."

But now, it looks like they finally pinned down the release date, for Chrono Trigger at least. In a post over at the official PlayStation Blog, Square Enix Product Manager Charles McCarter revealed that the classic RPG is finally heading to the North America PlayStation Store on Tuesday, October 4th. Well, that's just a few days away. Unfortunately, no price was revealed. But nonetheless, this a one of the great RPG classics that shouldn't be missed.
