Capcom talks God Hand remake

God Hand originally came out for the PlayStation 2 back in October 2006. It was a huge success despite the mixed review scores that it garnered upon release. Today, fans are clamoring for a remake of the cult classic, but will Capcom heed to their demands?

At a recent "Ask Capcom" session during the E3 event, while seated comfortably at the Capcom Booth, Christian Svensson gave time to answer the issue on the God Hand remake. He said, "It would be [cool]. I think it will probably also be ill-advised from a commercial standpoint. So I suspect that will have a very hard time getting traction internally... An interesting game, not terribly well-received by the market."

Capcom was at E3 last week to bring a bevy of goods to their fans, such as Dragon's Dogma's trailer and the announcement of Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition.

I would love to see another God Hand game, not necessarily a remake though. I'm pretty sure the reason why it didn't sell well enough was because it wasn't marketed a lot. I never saw a commercial for it. I've seen a few ads for it in gaming mags and that was it. Maybe if they ever decide to make another God Hand, they should try marketing it more.

Ahh! I never played the orginal God Hand! I want to play the original but I bet the price for it now online is too high, those asshole merchants! Oh well, I'll play the remake, if they do decide to make it.

Of course I'd like to see a remake. Put it on the 360 and PS2, you don't need to put much money into it. The game is already infamous due to IGN's balls-up, and everyone knows it defines hardcore. So make it available now, and people will see what they missed out on, put a tutorial in it for newbies. Get hype for God Hand 2.
