EA has finally pinned down the released date for Criterion's retrofitted racer, Burnout Crash.

Set to reinvent the studio’s fan-favorite crash mode, Burnout Crash will offer gamers tons of action, "accessibility and compulsive fun for those new to the series and gameplay depth for franchise veterans," with players given rewards for "causing traffic chaos as they trigger explosions and destroy everything in sight," notes EA in the recent press release. Just how much fun can you expect in this game? Check out the action down below.

A lil' preview of the action

The game will feature EA’s revolutionary Autolog technology where players can compare scores and face off against friends and foes alike for some competitive and destructive racing action. It will also include three game modes, 18 crash junctions, and a variety of unlockables mixed with some classic modes. The Xbox Live version of the game also comes with an exclusive game mode designed for the Kinect, which will allow up to 14 players can compete simultaneously on one television in an all-out party battle.

Burnout Crash will be available for digital release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade on September 20th. It will set you back for US$ 9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points.

This game looks like junk. I want a new Burnout that plays like Burnout Revenge. I don't care for Burnout Paradise much and I really don't care for this Burnout Crash game either. I do like the Crash mode in the Burnout games but this Crash game is to basic and lame looking.

Tested this game when it was in development. We suggested a price of 2.99-4.99 CAD. We said anything more and no one will buy it as it was just to bare. It is literally 3 different intersections that you cause mayhem on. It is only entertaining if you play multiplayer with a buddy. Then you can play games like HORSE. It barely deserves the Burnout name, but it is a little more fun than the trailers make it look lol.
