Binary Domain Delayed for One Week |

Binary Domain was supposed to be released on February 14th and 17th in North America and Europe respectively, but Sega has confirmed that we'll have to wait an entire extra week or so before we can welcome our new robotic overlords with open arms. Binary Domain has a kind of I, Robot feel to it so far. It takes place in Tokyo in 2080 and seems to center around robotic servitors developing personalities and rising up to overthrow mankind, or something.
Story aside, Binary Domain is looking far better in the newest trailer that Sega has released as compensation for having to wait for the actual game. The first trailers were so-so, but this time around they've managed to make it look much more cinematic and put a soaring soundtrack over the top of it to add to the effect.
As far as gameplay goes, the Yakuza Studio says the centerpieces for the game are the trust and loyalty mechanics that cause squadmates to not trust you too much if you keep sending them into suicide missions, and the fact that you'll be able to give them verbal commands via voice recognition software. Voice recognition is something I thought would have been common practice by now using headsets, so it will be interesting to see if they can pull it off well.
Binary Domain will be out February 24th in North America and February 28th in Europe.
