Maybe you played 007 Legends, maybe you didn’t. The game, which launched to pretty much terrible reviews, wasn’t much of a success. Unfortunately, it looks like a lot may have been riding on the performance of that one title, as its developer is essentially removing itself from the console business.

Eurocom announced this morning that it would be dropping the majority of its staff, keeping only around 50 onboard. The company blamed a “steep decline in demand for console games,” which is somewhat questionable but probably okay to ignore considering how rough the news is for everyone involved. Whatever the reason, Eurocom clearly wasn’t doing well.

The studio is shifting its focus to “mobile opportunities,” so mark it down as the latest casualty in the great mobile “revolution.”
