There have been quite a number of discontent fans raising issues about the seemingly unpolished state of Dragon Age II. Recently, we've also heard from people who worked on the project, such as musical composer Inon Zur, saying that the game was essentially rushed by EA.
To try and appease the disgruntled masses, BioWare is now cooking up a "beefier" DLC experience for the fans. Said lead designer Mike Laidlaw, "We're going to keep it very focused on your character [Hawke]."
It's good that they've been keeping abreast with consumer feedback, and that they're sincerely keen on rectifying this issue of discontent. "We'll be announcing more of that as we get closer to locking it down.

A big focus for us is to make sure we get it right and we make sure it's, honestly, a beefier experience than the Origins DLC and one that introduces something new to the Dragon Age game."
