The premium package, out to set you back US$ 99 when it arrives at your local retailers starting on October 18, will include a handful of goodies and extensive bonus content that should please both fans of the video game franchise and the comics afficionados alike.

First, theres a custom Batman statue made by the folks at Kotobukiya, which was also responsible for creating some nifty Star Wars and Dead or Alive statues before. The package also includes a collectible art book, a digital album from WaterTower Music which features original songs by hit artists that will be available via digital redemption, a bonus copy of animated flick Batman: Gotham Knight, and an early access to both the Iceberg Lounge Challenge mode map and a Dark Knight Returns skin.

The Collector's Edition of the game was first spotted early this month via a retail listing. Arkham City is slated to arrive this OCtober for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

You don't need a steelbook you know, something that will get tossed under the bed to never see light again...
I have to say, to a group of mature gamers, what the f*ck do we need with an animated cartoon? Couldn't they've packaged the Dark Knight or a proper movie instead?

I'm an "adult" gamer, and I own all of the Batman animated cartoons on DVD/Blu Ray. That being said, I already own Gotham Knight and it's definitely my least favorite of the Batman animated films.

I'm more bummed they didn't pick a better film to include. Then again, I collect Batman comics, well, just Batman stuff.
