Back to the Future Sequels Coming? |

When Back to the Future was released by Telltale Games at the end of 2010, there were plenty that were skeptical of a game based on the now aged series and movies. Reviews of the game weren't super-stellar ranging in the 7s, but even so the developer is promising greater things with additions to the franchise. After all, since his illness a lot of the younger generations had moved on from the Michael J. Fox craze, so for some of us a game based on a collection of stories this old might just come off as a bit of a useless effort.

As the original game's title implied by being known as Episode 1, we had to assume that there would be more to this story than just this single title. However, as of today we now have our first semi-official word as Christopher Lloyd announced that he will be returning to his role as Doc Brown for an unnamed title within the new gaming series. While the developer themselves have given the trademark "we do not comment on rumors and speculation" it would not be too much of a stretch to think that TellTale would want to revive "their most popular franchise to date." As far as I'm concerned, this slip of the tongue just puts the nail in the coffin.
With the first five episodes taken care of within the first season of game releases, one can expect that quite possibly we will be seeing five more in the months to come. While details are still somewhat sparse at this time, with Lloyd returning to the cast one can only hope that AJ Locascio as Marty McFly will be back to. Are you ready to go back to the future again?
