Avalanche announcing new downloadable game soon |

Just Cause developer Avalanche is jumping into the multiplayer gaming arena for the first time and they're doing it with a downloadable title set for release on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The studio has recently revealed that they will be announcing the upcoming game in the coming week. An E3 showing is also being planned.
"We'll probably show the game at E3," Avalanche founder Christofer Sundberg told video game news outlet CVG. "It's original IP and a pretty cool little game. It's our first multiplayer title."
"There's so much work going into the tech and game design of our bigger, more risky projects," he continued, "we thought that we could use that on XBLA and PSN; that we could use the same tech and experience to create something that costs about as much as one milestone payment for the bigger projects.
Sundberg also said that downloadable doesn't necessarily mean cheaply made. In terms of production design, Avalanche is going all out for the unnamed project. "We've built high production values on this title," he said. "It looks absolutely stunning. It's been such a success internally, PSN and XBLA is now seen as a very tempting world to go further into."
