Assassin's Creed III is still months away, but as the date closes in Ubisoft has decided to put out an unboxing video of sorts for one of the many special editions the game will have. First up (assuming there will be more of these) is the Freedom Edition, a UK-exclusive that features a steelbook, the game, a 29mm Connor figurine bristling with all his signature weapons, and a notebook containing George Washington's memories amidst a bunch (60 pages in all) of other secret codes, artwork, and the like.

The "unboxing" vid also features a little footage of some other bonus stuff you get with the Freedom Edition, such as the Ghost of War and Lost Mayan Ruins DLC, along with the Sharpshooter persona for the game's multiplayer. It will retail for £79.99.

Assassin's Creed III will be out October 30th, 2012. What do you think of the Freedom Edition?

You can't say AC is always the same after playing just AC1 for a couple of missions. The series has come a long way from AC1 till now. Indeed the first game was alot of the same, but this was fixed in AC2 and brotherhood and revelations made it even better.

Ontopic now. I've pre-ordered this edition to. And I'm not in the UK. So it's not UK exclusive. AC is about the only game where I spend cash on these limited editions.
Its exclusive and not just some duke nukem bust or agent 47 bobblehead. There actually nice enough to put it next to the tv or something. On the one hand it's like special editions for the sake of special editions, but still.. There of nice quality
