Assassin’s Creed: Revelations to Support 3D |

If you’re one of the seven people that’s purchased a 3D television, you’re probably pretty bummed about the lack of games with native 3D support. While one comes along every now and then, for the most part game developers are waiting to see how the technology develops. Ubisoft’s announcement that Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will feature full 3D support may be an indicator that major developers are ready to give it more attention.

What’s surprising about the announcement is that 3D will be supported on every launch system. If you own an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 with the necessary 3D TV and accessories, you can enjoy Revelations in its full three-dimensional glory. If your computer has one of those new-fangled NVIDIA 3D Vision cards, you’ll also be able to take advantage of the feature on your PC.
The Assassin’s Creed franchise is one I think could benefit from 3D technology. Free-running across building rooftops and scaling tall towers is much more frightening when there’s real depth to the experience, and the thought of feeling vertigo when walking across a narrow wire certainly seems cool.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a 3D television, so I won’t get to enjoy this particular feature. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations comes out November 15th – are you planning on making use of the 3D functionality?

Don't need 3D for that. Aside from that, fun news I guess.Don't particularly care about the ass series.

I always thought it would sit in the background and collect dust while I played Skyrim, but this feature may just give it the nudge to leave Skyrim collecting dust.
Wow. Did I just say that?
