Assassin's Creed is a fantastic series and one of the great franchises to come out of the last decade. Up there with Grand Theft Auto and Saints Row when it comes to pseudo-linear story telling and gameplay and if you haven't played the first game yet, here's your chance with the forthcoming version for the PS3, you will be treated to a brand spanking new copy of the original.
Everyone can get in on the action in two months when the game is released on November 15th. Whilst you still need to get through the sequel and Brotherhood, and if you really want to delve into the canon. Apparently the book series is really good, oh and don't forget all the other viral marketing and secrets that can be found online and are awesome.
The series has sold over three million copies world wide and releasing the free copy is a great business move that will promote the rest of the series to be purchased...however, those who purchase the latest game will be old fans rather than new ones, it's good they've kind covered both.

And why anyone would want to play that first abomination is beyond me
Hope they fixed some of it's bugs ( No subtitles, unhearable audio levels, unskipable cutscenes, lame story, bugs, no trophies )

I have to say though, Assassin's Creed actually has a pretty innovative story.
Also I hope they bring back boss battles in Revelations.
