Another BioShock: Infinite Heavy Hitter: The Boys of Silence |

The Heavy Hitters of BioShock: Infinite have pretty much taken the place of the Big Daddies in previous BioShock games. It sounds like they'll be wandering around the floating city of Columbia, itching for trouble. Some you'll undoubtedly encounter in scripted sequences, but others will just be there like the Big Daddies were, going about their business. It will be up to you to decide how to deal with them...or not.
The new Heavy Hitter unveiled by Irrational Games is called the Boy of Silence. These guys have a weird mask on that renders them completely blind, but it has big trumpet-style ear holes that amplify their hearing abilities. So you can try to sneak around them or fight them, but if you don't do either in an expeditious fashion the Boys can summon more baddies to help them deal with you.
I'm not sure what purpose these guys served before Columbia goes to hell, but I bet it's nothing good. Another mystery is who or what is under that mask - which will probably be explored in the game.
BioShock: Infinite will be out October 16th in North America and the 19th in Europe.
