Activision, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games are all set for the most anticipated entertainment launch of the year, are you?

In case your living on the rock or something, yesterday, the folks at Activision released the debut trailer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, giving us a glimpse of the action and conflict behind the cultural phenomenon.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is by far the most epic Call of Duty experience yet. The teams at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have worked tirelessly to create for the Call of Duty player a scale that is unimaginable with a level of polish and creativity that will push the genre forward," said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc.

"The passion and energy of our developers is reflected in everything about the title," he continues. "From the innovative gameplay, to the cinematic intensity, to the most advanced multiplayer ever, Modern Warfare 3 will raise the bar for this already incredible franchise."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is slated to arrive on November 8th, 2011.

Guys if you come here to hate on Call of Duty please leave. Yes, we all know that Battlefield is coming out, and we're happy and all, but really? Do you have to go to every Call of Duty news story and spread hate about CoD? Seriously, both Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 haven't been released yet, so stop with all the hate alright? When the games come out, you can start making real down to earth arguments, instead of " eww this is the same- no it isn't you haven't played it yet, " Battlefield is better- no that's your opinion.

So let's stop all this hate and get back to gaming. Whatever your game may be.

I know most people would probably assume that your mother dropped you on your head as a child, but I am gonna take it one step further and assume that she used your forehead as a permanent replacement for a door stop.

If they manage to "raise the bar" over BF3, then it would have to be on bad ass game, but I REALLY don't see that happening. :P

new engine?

maybe for either the multiplayer(hig hly doubt),or single player(maybe true but cuts 1 hour off the campaign)

as far as "raising the bar",There advertising yes its another COD GAME,but the thing kinda irritated me,is no gameplay.I want to know when im playing whats the "bar" that will raise, what make this any different than COD:Naughty Bear Edition or COD:Future Warfare.

Kinda impressed(not really),guess have to wait till E3

PS its been confirmed they are useing the same game engine.battlefield bad company wasn't the best game American ever due to the squad system in multiplayer and those darn sniper shotguns. But this isn't bad company dice is has been making tweaks to their games to make them better which is something I will always hold against activision and not pushing their deb's on doing. I'm glad I pulled away from cod it sucks because 98% of my friends play it but its something I have to live with

What kind of bar are they talking about? The kind with overpriced drinks, Cockroaches(Bug s) crawling all over the floor and underage drinkers insulting everyone who walks through the door.

Call of Duty has been the exact same game since COD4 (the best one). They change some skins, some maps, and throw out a new game every year like Madden. I've bought and played all of them up until this point but I'm really sick of COD now. They haven't even changed the engine stating it takes too much time and it cost too much money...do they not see their COD sales? Battlefield 3 is going to benefit in the FPS genre like crazy because all the other developers have gotten lazy.

they huge money and they cant even invest in a advanced engine without bugs and good AI ....

My shopping list

1 - uncharted 3
2 - BF3
3 - rizen
4 - fifa 12 if any
5 - last guardian

WTF there are more CoD haters posting on here then real fans. The game wouldn't sell this good and have such a huge fan base if it were garbage. You guys really that jealous over a game? Maybe you are just the vampiregoths of the gaming world, I am a nonconformist yea,! are you proud of me mommy?.

It's the year of threes... Fear 3, BF3, MW3, Uncharted 3; isn't there another one?

I'm getting them all.
