Call of Duty: Black Ops II hasn’t been all fun and games since its release, as it has had its fair share of problems. That’s where the new 1.03 patch for the PS3 comes in to save the day.

Some of the biggest pains in the ass in terms of Black Ops II on the PS3 have been problems with freezing and matchmaking. To counter these issues, Treyarch released the 1.03 patch for the PS3 version of Black Ops II on Saturday. Here’s a note concerning the patch from the Activision support center: “A patch has been released to fix the lock-up/freeze issues affecting Call of Duty: Black Ops II online gameplay on PlayStation 3. Simply boot up Black Ops II and sign in to play online, and the patch will install automatically. Again, we thank you for your patience during this matter.”
The patch is 58 MB in size and appears to have worked for some players who have reported improved performance. Others, however, claim that freezing and multiplayer connection problems are still occurring.
