Namco Bandai celebrates Akira anniversary with jacket

Akira is a staple of the Anime experience. If you have not seen Akira yet, you should really see it. It's a fantastic film about the prospects of glorifying a technology obssessed culture and the ramifications that take place after said glorifications...Anyway, it was thirty years ago today, that Akira blew everyone away in Manga form and Namco Bandai thought it'd be awesome (and it totally is) to release a jacket that Kaneda wears from the film:

I want it. I want it so bad. I'm not even a guy who wears jackets or even leather jackets, but that looks so badass. The logo and the armband and just everything about that screams awesomeness...and now I sound either gay or fashion obsessed. To crawl it back, let's just say that Anime is awesome, chicks are cool and there is nothing wrong with being gay and I still want this jacket...it's $US910...I can't afford that on a game writer's salary...Christmast present, anyone?

yeh thas way too expensive but its really cool i would get me one... but then the whole costume is cool, specially kaneda bike i think they should have but a carbon fiber tire from moto gp to look more like the anime, witch is the best movie and manga ever made and nothing or something has yet to beat it specially the bd version in japanese 192mhz audio and i cant express enough that the new dub that they did back in 2000 for the collectors edition thx remastered sucks, the original audio english voices are way cooler then the new one, but cant beat the original audio... but then maybe chine will replicate the jacket and sell it much cheaper...
