Here Are Those Ninja Gaiden Weapons You Wanted |

Ninja Gaiden III didn’t turn out to be a very good game. The title, which is sitting comfortably at a 55 rating on Metacritic, got taken apart for a few notable problems: sloppy controls, low difficulty, a backwards camera and the complete removable of customizable weapons and powers.

Yep, that’s right—in Ninja Gaiden III, you only get one weapon, ever. And it’s your sword. If you loved swapping weapons in previous games (the flails were so rad), you were out of luck. However, it appears that the lack of weapons in the game wasn’t some sort of horrible oversight, but some sort of horrible scheme for raking in DLC dollars.
As of today, you can finally get a few new items for Ryu’s adventure. If you don’t want to spend any money, you can snag the Falcon’s Talons and a new multiplayer map for free. If you want one of the new “Ninja Trials” packs or additional multiplayer weapons, you’ll have to shell out the cash.
Future DLC plans? Team Ninja is adding an “Ultimate Ninja” difficulty mode, which will also cost money (though it’s free for a month).
I have one thing to say about this whole deal: Seriously?
