Whoa, the Playstation 3 is unrefined?
Yes, according to Richard Huddy, European Developers Relations Manager for ATI, the Playstation 3, for all its technological advancements is just a bumbling mess in comparison to the Xbox 360.
Huddy, who worked on development of the Xbox 360, in an interview with Edge Magazine told the magazine that the Playstation 3 is basically a souped-up amalgamation of existing PC architecture without much consideration for making developers happy with its design. He questions Sony's partnership with Nvidia, adding that the giant video game company chose to forego compromises in design, than compromises in hardware when it went with a customized version of Nvdia's 7800GTX.
Interviewer: "You make it sound so unrefined!"
Huddy: "[Laughs.] Well, yeah, but the tragedy is that it is unrefined. There's a lot brute force in there - I'd be the last person to admit it, but the truth is that the 7800GTX is a pretty powerful piece of hardware, but it's not very elegant ... Instead it's been put together at the end of quite a complicated process."
Huddy had fighting words for Sony. "Our GPUs instead are custom-designed components, and that's one of the fundamental reasons why I think Xbox 360 technology is likely to outperform PlayStation 3 technology by a pretty healthy margin in the long run."
Huddy might have a natural bias against the Playstation 3, having been involved in the Xbox 360 development process; and as an ATI employee, competing directly against Nvidia. Are his words truthful?

Yes, he is a DOUCHE bag. Huddy is scared cause he knows 360 is being dogged everywhere but North America. Im sure the PS3 wont have overheating problems, or a power supply that's bigger than the actual console.

The source is not secure... ATI! ATI makes chips to XBOX360 ... And ATI is the nVIDIA rival. (that makes GFXchip for PS3).

This is what makes me laugh when everyone takes hits at people like phil harison when he said "we have TRUE HD" and he isnt kidding. Go look it up, TRUE HD, ULTRA HD even, is considered 1080p. And Sony makes comments and rebutles like these that can be backed up.
MS and its cronnies? Well, they pull **** out of their asses all the time that make them look like, well, asses. This ATI guy for one, contradicts himself time and time again in this article saying how Sony went with a custom Nvidia chip, but what is MS doing? Going with a custom ATI chip, right?
Then there is the whole unrefined bull****, when you take a look at their new cards like the 18000 for PC's and that thing, that is not raw horsepower? That, is not unrefined? Becuase the way this guy talks, he talks as if being the most powerful piece of hardware, is unrefined.
I am sorry, the 360 is a capable system as much as the Dreamcast was. I know people hate that comparison, but my god, there is so much it has in common with it not to mention the cherry topper, Peter Moore!
Does everyone forget? or is it just all the little kiddies that werent around or were not bothering with video games at the time to know that Peter Moore headed the Dreamcast release as well, and he was also the reason it bombed and his tactics have only gotten worse.
I mean seriously, I have never seen a man turn more into a child as he grows older, than that guy. And when I say child, I mean the kind that always thought him and his **** never stunk and he was always better than everyone else, meanwhile everyone hates him. Save for those just like him.

The ps1 and ps2 time and time again show fake bullshot videos...but people still buy it why? because people don't learn from the past.
Dreamcast was not heavily funded by Microsoft...i suppose you are to "young" to know that.
You fanboys for the ps3 have not seen a single thing for the ps3...and believe all the vids you seen are "worthy" of next gen more then anything else.

May not have been heavily funded by Micro$oft, but still was supported, with their use of Windows CE for Dreamcast's OS and stuff.

wow i seriously gotta say i been reading the article on both 360updates and ps3 updates and what do i see? over at 360 updates everyone all calm and comparing idea between the consoles and over at ps3 i see a bunch of grown ass ppl arguing and *****ing like a bunch of 8 year old GIRLS wanting the latest malibu barbie corvette lol.
its true claims between sony and xbox can be a little biased and pretty exagerated but lets be serious now. microsoft sofar can give information and statistics because guess what? THEY HAVE a console out and produced that people own. sony sofar is still playing guess who with its ps3 none of the ppl here have played the games they go based on whitenotes and what sony says in interviews and those pretty little videos with boasted graphics...mind u killer instinc looked nextgen and it was just pictures of something beutiful and 3d.
lets not act like kids here if u worship sony good for u. but dont say ps3 is this and that till u have one in your hands.

Look, instead of blaming fanboys or a guy who works at a competing company, blame the interviewer for making the interview skew off enough to make it sound rediculous. I believe the interviewer belongs to a general magazine instead of one that specializes in one company's console. As a member of the media, I found his interview rather unprofessional but that's just my opinion.

lets see first off microsoft employess have come out and bashed the ps3 on many occasions because they are scared and jealous that the ps3 is better. Also I have only read 1 maybe 2 articles where sony reps say anything bad about the 360 and i think what they did say was well desirved. Also look at the MGS4 trailer the one were they prove it is in real time. No 360 games i have seen even come close to it.

BUt yeh, i own xbox360 and tbh. My 7800GTX SLI absolutley pwns the COD2 on the X360.. so meh. Let the PS3 RSX Be a refined 7800GTX...

well i have to say i am a ATI fanboy, but also belive very much in Nvidia, they both do a good job in fact MS went with Nvidia for the xbox and ATI for the XBOX 360 and nintendo when with ATI for the Gamecube, but the thing i gotta say is don't belive anything you hear about a companys product that comes from a compeating companys mouth, this guy works for ATI so he hates Nvidia so to speak, he work on the 360 he wants the fame that comes with it, he doesn't want it to bom, he just taking swipes at sony and nvidia wich is to be expected with anything out there, i just say lets see both of the systenms run the same game and make our own mind up for ourselfs, and why not get both if you so chose

ive always trusted sony and always liked the playstation 2 more than the xbox
plus the new chip that the playstation 3 kicks ass while the xbox 360 chip is only a little better than the first xbox.
the only good game so far on the xbox 36 is call of duty and project gotham racing . Even the playstation 2 has better games than that...
i already have enough money (i think) to buy a playstation 3 and 4-5 games (i think) so ill be first in line for a new playstation 3.
