Git repos are becoming increasingly popular between developers, regardless of the platform that they're working on. It allows them to upload their projects along with source code. Users can also "fork" code into their own git repos in which could be worked into their own projects.

PS3 developers are among the many who take advantage of git. However, the problem with this is that several repos are at the mercy of DMCA takedown requests. Hosting an official git over at Dashhacks was the answer to this as the site wasn't subject to the DMCA at the time. After a server move, the git had to be taken down.

This left nothing available for users, until now. The owner of the PS3 Dev Wiki, defyboy has opened up a git. Like the good old times, the git should be here to stay.
