Yesterday I posted an article about the need for more community support for deroad's PSChannel, and luckily we already see signs of hackers coming out of the wood work. Thanks to this new mod by opium2k, you'll be able to give the awesomeness that already is PSChannel a much needed blue cool down. After all, why not pick a look that coincides with these freezing winter months right?

In case you don't already know what PSChannel is, it is basically the independent alternative to the PlayStation Store. This means that instead of all of those great officially developed titles up for download, this offers a selection of all the greatest homebrew and applications that Sony would probably rather you not be sticking your nose into. As of right now, the early builds only support the collection found on the Brewology website, but for a program so early in development that's really quite the feat.

Since the source was made available, opium2k's mod sort of comes as no real surprise, but that does not mean it isn't quite nifty. Just install the supported .pkg for your CFW and you'll be off and running with a store that remains just as functional with the more chilled out GUI that you see in the screenshot above. If you're looking for a mod that let's you get your homebrew fix that isn't so darn bright looking, this is a pretty solid option.

I agree. Talk about adding to something that's already pretty cool.
