Watch: Sub-Zero kicks ass in retro Mortal Kombat costumes

Just like the past three downloadable characters released for Mortal Kombat, the fourth character add-on will come with two new retro-themed costumes for one of the game's iconic characters.

This time, the one getting the retro treatment is the ice-cold Ln Kuei assassin, Sub-Zero. The new skins being added are a maskless Klassic Sub-Zero ensemble that takes its cue from the ninja's appearance in Mortal Kombat III and a Retro Cyber Sub-Zero piece. See both of them in action in the trailer below.

The new skins for Sub-Zero will be part of the fourth Mortal Kombat compatibility pack which can be downloaded for free starting Tuesday, August 9th, on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace.

They will also be included in the Freddy Krueger character add-on pack although you'll have to pay US$ 4.99 / 400 Microsoft Points if you choose to get the Nightmare from Elf Street antagonist. Xbox Live users who purchased the Mortal Kombat Season Pass will get the DLC for no additional charge.
