Watch: ICO, Shadow of the Colossus HD Japanese promo vids

ICO and Shadow of the Colossus were arguably some of the PlayStation 2's best games. As such, Sony is sprucing them up with HD graphics for the PlayStation 3. While PS3 owners won't be getting their hands on the PS3 versions until September, here's the next best thing: videos of the enhanced titles in action.

 

 

 

 

Gamers in Japan can choose to get ICO and Shadow of the Colossus either as two separate games or as a two-in-one collection. In North America and Europe, they will be bundled together on a single Blu-ray disc. The Japanese release date has been set for September 22. North America and Europe will be getting them on September 27 and September 28, respectively.

 

A couple of months back, Team Ico boss Fumito Ueda announced that the HD collection was being delayed along with ICO's spiritual successor, The Last Guardian.

Not really, the less discs the better. If anything I hope it comes out on PSN store, can't stand discs, prefer everything on my hdd.

0.o then I closed the tab and came back an hour later to see it as promo . . . what a relief.

Shadow of the Colossus has always looked great. But now this is just icing on the cake. I'll be excited to properly play this on PS3 so I don't have to deal with the PS2's occasional framerate drops.
