This is how Monster Hunter Portable 3rd looks on PS3 |

The Monster Hunter series has been one of the PSP's biggest draws since it first burst onto the scene. I've heard a lot of gamers say that the controls on the Sony handheld aren't very comfortable, though. Put it on PS3, they say. Well, if you've been thinking the same thing then go thank Sony and Capcom. They've finally decided to bring Monster Hunter Portable 3rd to Sony's HD home console.
Following the recent announcement of the game's HD remake, Capcom have sent out this trailer showing how the PS3 version compares to the PSP original.
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD is only the first entry in Sony's new PSP Remaster series. The line will take popular PSP titles and rework them to fit the PS3. The remastered releases will be spruced up with full HD visuals, compatibility with Dual Shock 3, PS3 exclusive content, 3D support, and other features.
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD has so far been confirmed for Japan only, but the door hasn't been closed on international releases for PSP Remaster games. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD will be available in Blu-ray form but other PSP Remaster titles may be released in downloadable form as well.

I think this remastered series is a good idea though. There are many good PSP-exclusive games, and a lot of people who don't have a PSP will be happy to be able play these games. At least in the USA/Europe, because I think almost everyone has a PSP in Japan.
