The Missing Link adding five hours to Deus Ex: Human Revolution |

Five hours. That's how long The Missing Link, Deus Ex: Human Revolution's first downloadable content add-on, will be according to developer Eidos Montreal. That's just an estimate, of course, and that length of time can easily fluctuate depending on your approach and how much of a completionist you are.
The Missing Link was formally unveiled by Eidos Montreal and publisher Square Enix earlier this month and is currently set to go live in October. The add-on will feature new environments and characters for players to interact with.
Story-wise, the DLC pack will cover a period of three missing days from the main narrative. During this time, protagonist Adam Jensen will lose all of his augmentations, so those who want to re-spec Adam will also get a chance to rebuild his augmentation sets from scratch.
Strangely enough, although the add-on takes place within the main narrative, Eidos Montreal says that it has no ties to the main game in terms of gameplay. Whatever new augmentation sets you decide to give Adam won't carry over to the main game either. Players will learn a few new details about the game world's shadier sections, though. Now it's totally starting to sound like it's going to be one of those "it was all a dream" deals.
