SNK Playmore has finally announced a Japanese release date for the console versions of The King of Fighters XIII. Gamers in the region can play the game on PS3 and Xbox 360 starting October 27th.
The release date announcement also mentioned an exclusive fighter for the game's console versions: Fatal Fury's bojutsu user, Billy Kane. GameSpot reports that based on official screenshots, Billy will retain most of his classic moves, including his Chou Kaen Senpuu Kon desperation move.
The console versions will also feature three new stages. One is set inside the Big Ben clock tower, another is in a nightclub, while the third is on a grassy field complete with ruins.
The King of Fighters XIII was originally released as an arcade game in Japan last year. The console versions were confirmed for a North American release during E3 2011. Atlus will be handling the western localization.

One of them was wrongfully re-named to 200*-something in the US, but they are called Maximum impact everywhere else.
