The San Diego Comic-Con is kicking off in a few days, and one of the games to be shown off at the convention will be 2K Games and Digital Extremes' The Darkness II.
If you're in the mood to try out Jackie's quad-wielding, you can get a taste of it thanks to eight playable demo kiosks of The Darkness II that 2K Games will be setting up at the con. Top Cow Productions is also celebrating the franchise's 15th anniversary with a special panel called "Spreading The Darkness: From Comic Book to Video Games and Entertainment".
The San Diego Comic-Con will run from July 21st to July 24th at the San Diego Convention Center.
The Darkness II will offer a unique twist in first-person shooter genre "with its fervid Quad-Wielding gameplay, which will allow players to slash, grab, and throw objects and enemies with their Demon Arms while simultaneously firing two weapons." The game will also take you to the dark versus light path with twisted storytelling and stylistic violence "visualized through a hand-painted graphic noir technique that stays true to its comic book origins."
Top Cow had been hinting at the sequel shortly after the original game came out but certain rights issues had to be cleared before development could start.
