Konami is going treading down the remake route in a big way this year. Before the HD remakes of Hido Kojima's iconic Metal Gear Solid games hit retail, however, gamers will get their first taste of the action during this year's Tokyo Game Show.
Kojima Productions representative Jiro Oishi has confirmed via Twitter that playable builds of the games included in Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection will be on the show floor during the yearly event.
The collection will include the PS2 titles Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater as well as the PSP original, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Oishi also revealed that all of the remakes including Peace Walker's HD version will run at a smooth 60 frames per second.
Of the games included in the collection, the HD version of Peace Walker is getting the most new features. Apart from the graphical upgrade and the new control scheme, the game's PS3 outing will include a new feature called "transfarring," in which you can transfer you saved games from the PS3 to the PSP, back and forth. Series creator Hideo Kojima has expressed interest in bringing this feature to the PS Vita too.
