Sony adding free multiplayer FPS to PS Home |

Sony is giving PlayStation Home a makeover later this year which would turn it into more of a social gaming hub than before. One of the new additions being introduced is a game called Bootleggers, a free-to-play multiplayer first person shooter that will let players unload a full clip of bullets into other PS3 owners' Home avatars.
As first person shooters go, Bootleggers is very rudimentary especially when compared to Call of Duty or Killzone titles. What it does have over those game, however, is that it is free. That's not just in the common free-to-play context where premium content still has to be purchased. Jack Buser, the man Sony put in charge of Home, clarified to Shacknews that the game is completely free and "not freemium".
Bootleggers can be found in Home's new Action district which will go live as part of the upgrade later this year. To further increase Home's prospects of becoming a more engaging social space for PS3 owners, players won't have to wait in line in order to enter a Bootleggers match. No matter how many people are currently playing it, you'll be able to find a room and join in.
It still remains to be seen whether this new initiatie will entice more PS3 owners to actually give Home a chance, but with free, easily accessible games like Bootleggers the prospects are starting to look pretty good.

Back in the day of Doom or Quake, there wasn't levels or perks or killstreaks or anything; was purely about finding better guns and killing your friends over and over.
I'll be playing this one.. looks interesting.

Can't agree more with your statement. Also it does look like an interesting little reason to get back on PS Home, it's definitely been a while I swear I probably have a terabyte's worth of updates for it now!!!!
