Report: Mortal Kombat PS3 has on-disc DLC, chat filter |
Listed in: Games Tags: mortal kombat, netherrealm studios, warner bros.

It has already been confirmed that Mortal Kombat would be getting downloadable content, but a new report says that some of them (character skins, in particular) won't exactly be new additions.
One PS3 gamer has reportedly been able to crack the game's config file, and among the gems listed are on-disc DLC for playable characters Kratos, Quan Chi, Cyber Sub Zero, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Reptile, Mileena, Kitana, and Jade. It seems not all of the DLC will be unlocks, though, as there will also be skins for Kratos, Quan Chi, and Cyber Sub Zero listed as specifically not on-disc.
The first batch of DLC for the game has been confirmed by developer NetherRealms to feature Kenshi from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and Scarlet, an ascended glitch from Mortal Kombat II.
Another thing found is a word filter full of chat words that may be deemed offensive by players. The list is rather long and some are NSFW, but you check the full list at the source link below. Just to give you an idea, they range from 'bitch' to 'bloody fart' and worse. There are even non-English words on the list.

"Puñeta" isn't necessary an insult, but it can be.
For a game as this, they sure did censor the words a lot.

They make you pay for stuff you already have.
How would they like to buy a BlueRay player but when you get it home you have to get online and buy the ability to play DVDs. It's got the ability already and you already paid for it so it should already have that feature.
Same for games. You paid for the game, that extra stuff is on the disc so you shouldn't have to pay for it again, it should already be available and free.

Incorrect. The Earth IS the center of the Universe.
1) The Center of any space is that point which has equal distance on all sides of it.
2) The Universe has infinite space in all directions
3) Any center of Infinite space must be drawn from a subjective point of view
4) Earth is the only place in the universe known to have inhabitants capable of subjective thought.
Ergo, the Earth is the only known 'Center of the Universe'
And yes, DLC on disks is just a way to get more money out of people buying the game.

Thanks for the clarification.

THIS IS NOT DLC ON DISC.
Cyber-Sub, QuanChi are unlockable by playing Story, the classic costumes are for pre-orders, which will be available later for free anyway.
The download content you will pay for IS NOT ON THE DISC!!
GEEEEZ!!!

The Jailbreak scene of ps3 only need to edit a file and the extra DLC content in game, is unlocked, minus the vs screen image as stated.
Just do a simple search online for it, you'll find what you need.
