Square Enix still haven't offically revealed the post-launch downloadable content for Final Fantasy XIII-2, but they have taken the lid off of a couple of in-game items that can be obtained by gamers through download codes.

One of these is a vampiric bow for Serah, the little sister of Final Fantasy XIII protagonist Lightning. When equipped, the bow turns the damage it deals to enemies into HP for the user.

Serah's fellow Final Fantasy XIII-2 protagonist, the time traveller Noel, is getting his own downloadable weapon as well. Those who buy the game directly from Square Enix's e-shop will get a code for the Calamity Blade, a two-blade set that recharges Noel's ATB gauge faster than normal weapons. Square Enix is also giving away a PC wallpaper calendar set as a bonus.

There's a little catch, though: the Calamity Blade "will show its effect from the start of the game midway through the adventure." Not too sure if it means the Calamity Blade is just an early game booster that eventually loses its effectiveness or if the special ability actually activates only after a certain point found halfway through the game is reached.
