Ni No Kuni Returns To Tease You, And It Does So Too Well |

It’s rare when a game has an appeal that’s both initial and long lasting. An example (for me, at least) is the cel-shading in Dragon Quest VIII; it was the first thing I liked about the game, and still hasn't aged for me over the years. Another thing that’s in videogames is when Studio Ghibli, the animation masters of anime films from Japan, are involved.
And thus you should take a moment to appreciate Ni No Kuni, the charming and colourful RPG coming to PS3’s in the West next year (Yes, 2013). A new trailer has been released though, and shows off some more pretty cinematics, sweeping music and gorgeous gameplay. Running around a suburban environment with cars and street signs, across a desert, through a forest and through a more traditional RPG town all look great with the game’s graphical style.
If you can learn Japanese in under a year, then I’d definitely suggest importing the Japanese version which was released last year. Or you can wait it out and admire the graphics for now.
