The localization process may have led to a sizable gap between the Japanese and North American releases of Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten, but it appears the latter will be getting a little more attention compared to the Japanese release.
Gaming news site Siliconera reports that some unvoiced scenes in the Japanese version will feature full voice acting in the North American release. No details yet on exactly which scenes these will be.

Those who were hoping for the anime character cameos in the original to be included in the localized version will also be getting their wish. The following characters will appear when players cast Omega spells:
- Index (A Certain Magical Index) - Omega Heal cast by a cleric
- Holo (Spice & Wolf) - Omega Wind.
- Bikkuriman (Bikkuriman)- Omega Star cast by a mage.
- Meito Anizawa (Anime Tenchou) - Omega Fire
- Lotte or Astarotte (Lotte no Omocha!) - Omega Ice
Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten will be released on September 6th exclusively on PS3. The game's multiple variants are now available for pre-order.
