The folks from Naughty Dog have said before that they would love to revisit the Jak and Daxter franchise at some point in the future, but it seems gamers may get to do just that before a new entry in the platforming series can even come about.
DigitalSpy reports that a listing for a Jak and Daxter HD collection for the Sony PS3 home video game console has been spotted on a South African online retailer's website. According to the report, which is unfortunately very sparse on the details, BT Games has the box set listed for a January 2012 release.
Sony has been in the habit of remastering PS2 games for the PS3 lately, so this HD collection is indeed possible. If true, the HD collection will likely include 2001's Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, 2003's Jak 2, and 2004's Jak 3. If Sony's feeling particularly generous, we might even see a free download code for the PSP version of Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier.
