ESRB rates I Am Alive |

Ubisoft has stayed quite secretive about I Am Alive, but now it finally seems that the elusive post-apocalyptic game is nearing completion. Proof? The ESRB has just recently given the multiplatform third person shooter a Mature rating.
The ratings body also adds a few insights into the gameplay. Players are put in the shoes of a man searching for his family in a post-apocalyptic world, engaging in melee and ranged combat throughout a ruined city. Enemies can be either killed or just knocked unconscious with finishing moves that involve QTEs.
As the M rating shows, I Am Alive will be pretty violent and will feature strong language. "During the course of the game, players encounter women who can be saved from nearby enemies; sexual mistreatment is sometimes implied in the dialogue (e.g., "These guys kept me as their pet, or mascot, or something.")," reads the description.
Sounds a bit Fallout-y (although with less radioactivity), so fans of post-apocalyptic romps like the Bethesda games will probably want to keep their eyes on this one. Some leaked footage and screenshots surfaced a month ago, but sadly Ubisoft's legal department has already had them pulled off of YouTube.
