The upcoming release of Dontnod Entertainment’s Remember Me on June 4 may still be a few months away but if they had listened to some of the different publishers out there, it may never even have come this far. But despite earlier issues with trying to find a publisher due to a lack of support for female lead characters in the industry Dontnod Entertainment kept their vision intact by partnering up with Capcom to bring us Remember Me the way it was intended.

When the players dive into Remember Me they will find themselves playing as Nilin in a 2084 Neo-Paris where memories are now able to be digitized, bought, sold and traded. Privacy and intimacy have been lost through the progression and evolution of social networks and traded for the comfort of a surveillance society.  Nilin once an elite memory hunter who is able to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories, must now, after being arrested and having her memories erased recover who she is.

To accomplish this, players will have to use all of the ability’s Nilin has at her disposal.  It might be by using her Memory Remix ability to alter parts of other people’s memory in real time to change how they see themselves and those around them.  Maybe it will be by utilizing her in depth hand to hand combat system complete with Combo Lab to allow players to fully customize Nilin’s combo attacks at will to suit every situation.  Players are sure to have hours of great gameplay ahead of them as they uncover her past.
