Devil May Cry collection shows up on Spanish retailer's site

This year, Capcom's Resident Evil series is celebrating its 15th anniversary. There's another, newer Capcom franchise that's also celebrating an anniversary this year, though: Devil May Cry, the first entry of which will be turning ten years old in August in Japan and in October in North America.

Capcom has yet to officially announce any special plans for the series' anniversary, but one online game retailer thinks an HD collection might be coming. Spanish retailer XtraLife.es has recently posted a listing for Devil May Cry 10th Anniversary Collection for PS3. The original posting seems to have been removed but thanks to Google, a cached version still exists.

No details were mentioned regarding the game other than the PS3 as a target platform, but the box art suggests that the collection will include Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening – Special Edition.

Keep in mind that this is only a rumor for now. What we do know for sure is that Capcom is currently working on a new entry to the series -- a reboot called DmC: Devil May Cry. A movie is also reportedly in the works.

This would be a great alternative to those who just absolutely loathe the new DmC. :D

Nothing like going through DMC 1-3 in HD!

I hope this is real and sells more than DMC. Let Capcom know where the fanbase stands...

Hum...DMC is awesome so don't get me wrong. But I just don't see them spending the time to convert these titles to HD.

For those that don't RTFA - "one online game retailer thinks an HD collection might be coming"

Keywords there are ONE and MIGHT. Total rumorsville.

Wish they'd release a newer DMC4 with actual trophies and not achievements lol.
