Dead Island invading PS Home |

Before PS3 owners take a vacation in the fictional island paradise of Banoi, they will get a taste of the Palms Resort's zombie-infested landscape through PlayStation Home. Deep Silver and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have announced that shortly before Dead Island hits this September, players will get an opportunity to further deepen their Dead Island experience through Home's Total Game Integration campaign.
The once-peaceful Home Square will begin to metamoprhose into a veritable replica of the Palms Resort complete with tropical vegetation, a beach, and zombies. A Dead Island-themed minigame will also be available, tasking players with crafting items and fighting off the rampaging zombie horde. Just like the co-op mode in Dead Island this mini game can be played with up to 4 players in different play styles.
There will be a total of 10 mini-game challenges associated with the game. Each week will introduce more levels and unlockable content. Those who manage to complete all 10 will get the exclusive "Exploding Meat" in-game weapon.
Pre-ordering the game directly from the Home Square will also net players the "Exploding Zombie Outfit" reward. There will also be a zombie survival survey where gamers can prove their knowledge of the undead and earn four free PlayStation Home rewards.
Dead Island comes out on September 6 in North America and September 9 in PAL territories. A few limited edition variants have already been announced.
