Atlus has sent out word of a new trailer for The Cursed Crusade, a two-player co-op game set for a multiplatform release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 this fall. The game's local cooperative multiplayer, which can be set to either horizontal or vertical split screen, takes center stage in the video. With two people playing, players can count on each other to perform cooperative holds, finishing moves, and even to bring each other back from the brink of death.

Set against the backdrop of the Old World, The Cursed Crusade features two adventurers on a quest across a Western Europe ablaze with the turmoil of a newly begun Fourth Crusade. Denz, a holy Templar, and Esteban, a roguish mercenary, may have different origins, but their motivations are the same: amidst the danger and despair of a new Crusade, to find the means to deliver themselves from a terrible curse that threatens to consume their immortal souls.

It's great to see offline co-op still alive and kicking.

I like the split-screen idea, but at the same time I don't... it gets a bit difficult to see on split-screen. This game looks great nevertheless. 8)
