Skyrim is an exciting enough game already, but imagine the possibilities when you are all wrapped up in RPG experience only to see the dragon turn tail (or not) and fly backward!

Skyim gamers were happy to see the new patch drop this week as it fixed a number of lingering issues that have plagued players since the games launch (bad performance on the ps3, xbox360 graphics glitches).

Unfortunately for Bethesda, there fix also broke some things and now dragons fly backwards (sometimes). Check out Mike Foster's story for the run down on what else the patch broke.

So, there will be another Skyrim patch, due next week.

The patch will be released for the PC first and then PS3 and Xbox360 will follow later on in the week.

Quest and Balance issues will be addressed in patching updates beginning after January, with code fixes to be prioritized first.

Bethesda also confirmed that going forward, PC users will always receive patches first as they are able to control the patching release process for PC internally.

For 360 and PS3 owners, there are certification processes that Sony and Microsoft have in place that need to be observed before new patch updates can be released to the public.

There is also some more Skyrim love coming for PC owners early in the new year, with the expected release of the Skyrim dev kit due in January 2012 (modders delight!).

That actually wouldn't be such a bad thing. They could keep on top of any further glitches that were spotted down the line.
By the way, you wrote "there fix" instead of "their fix". QJ should just give me a job, given the amount of corrections I make. :o

A patch a week is better than a few, then none like Oblivion...

Also, yay, Creation Kit!
