Agent 47 is on his own in Hitman: Absolution |

The Hitman games have usually followed a simple formula: Diana gives Agent 47 a target, and he kills whoever it is he's sent to dispose of. Hitman: Absolution will take Diana out of that equation to give players a "more personal" view into Agent 47's world.
"I think one big difference is the story," developer IO Interactive's Hakan Abrak told DigitalSpy. "You've been used to these traditional hits, Diana giving you a hit as the pacing of the story," he said. "It's very different in this one because Hitman has to work alone. He's been betrayed and he's being hunted."
Without Diana's promptings in the mix, it falls to Agent 47 himself to decide who to go after next. IO hopes that by making Agent 47 the one that's actively pushing the story forward, players will be able to "come a lot closer" to him.
That's just one of the differences Hitman: Absolution is bringing to the popular franchise. The new Hitman game will also introduce more technical innovations with regards to the game's disguise and impersonation mechanics. IO has also paid a lot of attention to the AI "because that's a core part of Hitman - to give those different, funny and weird stories within the story".
Sounds pretty damn interesting. I gotta admit, the new Instinct mechanic turned me off a bit, but hey, that's what hard mode is for.
