If one of your PS3s is equipped to use the True Blue dongle and custom firmware, you're probably waiting at the edge of your seats for new game patches to be released. Unfortunately, that's not what the team is providing this time around. Instead, they have pushed a new firmware update for their dongles to use.
The 2.51 firmware update is a bug fixed version of the previously released 2.6 update. The problem with the 2.6 update is that the newly integrated firmware spoofer interfered with any user installed tools that had modified the custom firmware such as REBUG's spoofer or ReACTPSN. As a result, many users reported freezing and booting issues with the firmware.
The 2.6 update was pulled and a newer update with 2.51 as the version number was released instead. The firmware spoofer was removed while the game compatibility updates were retained. The team announced that they are working on a new 2.61 firmware that will have support for some of the aforementioned tools. However, they stressed that users should not modify their custom firmware install in any way if they wish to use True Blue without issues.
If you're still on 2.5, you can download the 2.51 update below.
