PS3 Firmware 4.25 Is Live |

Today is a momentous day for PS3 owners with the release of the new official firmware version 4.25. It may not be the single most feature rich update on the planet, but if you are lucky enough to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber this one is sure to give you the most bag for your buck. Want to know what's inside 4.25 and the ramifications it can have for both the hacked and unhacked sectors of the scene? Check out the full story!

I'll be honest with you when I say there really isn't that much to say about this particular update. Essentially all it really does is double the cloud service storage for all PlayStation Plus users. That means instead of the usual 150MB to store your save game files, you'll now get a whopping 1GB so that more or less a huge chunk of your files will be available with you no matter where you go.
For those of us who aren't exactly lucky enough to be on the Plus side of things, this little patch is going to offer you absolutely nothing, but you'll still have to install it if you're truly looking to keep your console up to date. If you're a user that has been enjoying the recent CFW activity on PSN though, you'll be glad to know that this update will not have any effect on that as long as you keep any unwanted guests from updating your system by accident. Plus users, enjoy the extra space. For the price you pay, you deserve it!

If you want to compare PS Plus to anything, it's iTunes because the shit you buy in both are never to be kept forever but as rentals.
