A Brazilian senator is putting "offensive" video games on the chopping block through a bill that spells imprisonment for those caught making, importing, or distrubuting such games in Brazil.
The bill, authored by Brazilian Senator Valdir Raupp, has already passed through the Education Commission of the Senate and will now go to vote in the Committee on Constitution and Justice.
Brazilian website UOL reports that Raupp's bill seeks to "curb the manufacture, distribution, importation, distribution, trading and custody, storage, the video games that affect the customs, traditions of the people, their worship, creeds, religions and symbols."
Raupp's bill sets a penalty of one to three years imprisonment for those caught breaking it.

Slipknot and Simon & Garfunkel may be too far on both sides of the spectrum, so why not go for somewhere in between? Three more tracks from Green Day are hitchin' a ride into Rock Band soon, in case you love those basket cases. |

Atlus certainly beefing up the workforce. The publisher was spotted hiring PS3-Xbox 360 programmers back in October, and now they're in "mass-recruitment" for debuggers. Clearly, they have a lot of stuff to debug, duh. Maybe the PS3-Xbox 360 programming didn't go so hot? I sure hope not. |

The humongous DSi LL continues its streak of domination by gigantic proportions over the Japanese hardware sales charts, and really, the rest of the participants in this console race can only hope to get an inch closer to the number of units the LL has sold. Granted, there was a dip in its performance, dropping some 33.13% from last week, it doesn't change the fact that it's still the one on top. November 23-29,2009 hardware sales charts results after the jump.
