Wololo Explains the Lack of a new VHBL |
Listed in: News Tags: homebrew, vhbl, wololo
Wololo posted on his site yesterday about the current state of the VHBL project that he and a number of other members of his site have been working on and has confirmed reports that the version that he has ready is not available in the US. Even though it been ready for a little while now it will not be released right now because of its potential as a kernel exploit and at the original discoverers request not to release it at this time.
Wololo also explains that he has been working on a few other exploits over the last few weeks that he thinks could be ported to VHBL but has experienced some difficulty with it and has spent around 30 hours trying to get it to work. That’s not to say the whole endeavor has been for nothing because he has made some progress and can get simple homebrew to work but it fails to load anything with any use like the VHBL Menu. So as of right now there is no release date in sight for a new VHBL. Wololo has challenged the homebrew community to find a widely available and usable exploit that can be the basis of the next version of VHBL and keep the Vita homebrew scene moving forward until a true kernel exploit is found to open the Vita to something like a CFW.
